Default Gas overflows when I fill up

I have an 07 Wrangler Sahara and every time I try to jut fill my tank it ends up throwing up about 1/4 to 1/2 of a gallon out of the gas tank. To remedy the issue I run it til the low fuel light comes on and just put in 13.8-14 gallons. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem or if any ideas are out there as to a fix?

There is a recall for the gas tank. Take to local dealer

Got a letter a few months ago that Jeep is replacing the gas tanks on certain 07 and 08's. Had tank replaced last week and problem is solved.

Not all the JKs are actually being looked at though. Mine did not fit the build timeframe they specified.

However, an unintentional benefit of relocating my evap canister was that the gas overfill problem stopped. Don't ask me how that worked, though, because I don't know.

My 07 did this. I set the pump to the lowest setting(slower) and it doesn't overflow now.

Washington too. There's a little lever that flips down on the pump handle that keeps it pumping. It's rests on a ratcheted piece that determines the flow rate.
