I got mine "fixed" last week at the dealership and now I cant fill it on high flow at all, it immediately shuts off like its full. When I put it on medium flow sometimes it shuts off sometimes it doesnt. Mostly I just have to hold it just below any notch on the handle and wait. At least it isnt overflowing anymore...

My 2010 does this too. It clicks off with a splash then a gusher erupts a second later. I have to click it off of the thingy when it gets close and hold it at a slower flow rate. No problem then. PITA but

I never received the letter. After reading this forum I was happy to see I wasn't alone with this issue and very happy to find out Jeep recognized the problem and will fix it. I printed out the letter that I found on this forum and brought it to the local dealership yesterday. They read the paper, checked their system and told me I'm covered. My appointment is next Friday. I never would have known if it hadn't been for this forum and I would have just let the problem ride. I'm very happy to find this info…

Had mine dropped off the other week to get fixed. Put gas & this happened. So I took it back needing about half a tank of gas & they told me they would have to put gas & check it themselves. So 24 hours later I get a call asking me if I would top off after it clicks off. I told them it clicks off after it spills everywhere. So after it took a day to pump 7 gallons in they told me it was working fine. So I stopped to put gas today & it clicks off non stop now. It is now a huge PITA!

I am second owner on a 2007 2-dr manual Sahara. After 2+ years of no issues, in the past month mine has decided it will ALWAYS burp gas back out the spout. Filling at slowest speed will mitigate the issue, but I can still see that gas is burping out, just not enough to spill down the side of the jeep.

For me the weird thing is how it has now decided to exhibit the issue all of a sudden and all on it's own.

Glad to hear about the lifetime warranty. I'll schedule a dealer service appointment.
