Default GASCAP evao leak?

Looking for anyone else who has been having a problem with the evap unit and a gascap error on their JK. I supposedly cracked my evap cannister and had it replaced and ever since, we are still getting a "gascap" warning (checked and it's on). I'm at my witts end, dealer has tried everything, but no luck so far. Looks like the jeep is headed back to the dealer for another week. Hmm..........time to talk to Daimler tomorrow!........This will be the third attempt at the repair, I'm getting the sour taste of lemons in my mouth!

Hey Sean,

yeah, it's freakiing killing me, they supposedly fixed this last week, they had the jeep all weel long. I'll let them screw it up more, and just hint at Lemon law! What else has the dealer tried for yours? As for the throw out bearing, you are going in with the TSB right? Also, I need to pick your brain on the ipod solutions for both my srt8 and the jeep!

Update for anyone who cares, but the Jeep has been at the dealership since Monday. They have been in contact with Chrysler that this is a problem, we are on visit number 3. They have this last tiime to fix it, and if it happens again, they will be reclaiming the jeep under the state Lemon laws. Dealership is being extremely helpful through all of this. Just reaching the end of my patience. The fact that my Chrysler SRT8 was having problems at the same time doesn't help with my mood towards DC right now. Great feeling having almost $80,000 in DC vehicles sitting at a dealership, and the oldest one is a 2006! You know you have a problem when you have a direct dial number for someone at DC. Let the wait begin! Hmmm......what color shoudl I try next? It doesn't always pay to be the first kid on the block with the new toy!

yes, I want to keep the stock deck in the 300 (I have the factory nav), so what integration would you recommend? As for the evap, they have replaced the entire cannister (which they say I cracked...BFD) and they have traced all the lines and smoke tested and found ZIPPO~! Been in since Monday still trying to figure it out. They are at a loss! They have flashed the computer, they have researched all TSB's, they have supposedly even been on the line with Chrysler since this is the third time it has been serviced! All I get now is a Gascap warning and then it eventually codes the engine as a leak in the evap system. At this time, I'll just let them do what they want to try to fix it. Any and all advice is welcome regarding the evap, as for the Radio info, I leave my trust to Beermonkey (he's is a professional installer!) Thanks!

I filled up last night and filled up a gas can...in the meantime I forgot to put the gas cap back on and drove with it that way for 12 miles...never got an indication that the gas cap was off or anything...

I just got the gASCAP error for the first time yesterday.
8000 miles and no offroad.

I started it up and there it was.

Should I take it to the dealer? Haven't tried pumping
any gas yet.
