Default Gasing up the JK problem overflow

I have for the life of me can't figure out why everytime I go to fill up the jeep as soon as it finishes filling up it overflows all over the jeep. It doesn't matter what gas station I go to or jeep on or off it always happens. Is this happening to anyone here ?

Plenty of us with the same issues, some have had them fixed by the dealer. Mine "was" fixed but the very next fill up gas all down the side again. Now I just stop a gallon or two short.

It's a faulty valve in the tank that causes it and the whole tank needs to be replaced. If you’re one of the lucky ones you’re Jeep is still under warranty. Mine didn’t start until 40k so I’m out of luck. Do a search and you'll find a lot of people are having this problem. I'll just keep stopping at 17gal for now, I hate having gas all over my Jeep. The most important thing you can do is file a complaint. This needs to become a recall.

This has never been a problem for me, but I have heard plenty about it. I wonder why they can not rectify this situation?

I had the same problem. I just stoped trying to "fill it to the rim" meaning once the autoshutoff clicks.....that's it. It used to happen when I would go beyond the first click, add more and wait for the second click. When that second click came, so did the gas a over the pannel.

On my 09, when fueling, when the handle clicks the first time, I pull the handle back a little and squeeze the handle until second click.
99% of the time it wont overflow.

The problem with mine is it never clicks off period. If it's on auto it will just fill all the way out the tube and onto the ground and then it finally shuts off. For now I'll just stop short of full by a gallon or two like some others.
