Default General Wisdom on Roof leaks

I ran search on "leaks" and there are several threads. What I didn't seem to find, however, is what I would call the general wisdom on them: is it the general consensus that JKs leak? If so, is that that (too-bad-so-sad/live with it) or should I seek to address the problem with my dealer? Also, if leaks are common, is there a well-known culprit? What's the generally prescribed fix?

My specific situation: I have a new '12 JKU soft top. Came out to the Jeep after a prolonged rain and the driver-side floor is soaked. Jeep was parked, not moving. I did not see any obvious place the water would be entering from. It basically looks like someone poured a Big Gulp of water on the floor mat. (I have rubber slush mats, so the water that fell onto that pooled. It's how I gauged the volume of water in the first place.) The carpet underneath is also soaked.

My JK was manufactured in January of 2007. Same problem to the t.

Guess they can change the drive train, interior, gadgets, tops, etc. But there are still a lot of JK owners with leaking issues. I have half doors, and the water comes in right at the door surround and drips down to the foot well, on both sides. Go to a car wash and you will see where the water comes from

If your Jeep is like mine you better wear your rain gear! And have a few rags on hand, lol. Good luck with finding your leak. This is my fourth Jeep and I have never had one that didn't leak a little at best. You know, its a Jeep thing...

Ill live with the top down and have the leaks. Wish it wasn't a compromise though. I know a few have said they have no leaks. I plan on fixing that this summer with a trektop nx and bedlining the tub on the bottom, sides, and everywhere else. Hopefully spending a grand will fix it, ha

So, the general wisdom is: they leak, deal with it. Got it.

Neither my hard top nor my soft top on my 2010 leak a drop. Tight as a drum even in a car wash. Guess I am lucky
