Default Good deal?

Well to start off my soft top is shot. All the seems are starting to rip. My windows and frame are still ok tho. I've seen a few for sale for around 250$, which is just the top material. I've also found a guy locally that sold his 07 jeep but saved the hard top. I've got him down to 700 for the top. Only thing is that its missing the hardware, which I sure I could pick up for cheap. My main question is how beneficial is it to have the hard top? I've looked on kbb and did see that it raises the value of the jeep about 1k. And is 700 to good of a deal or is it likely there's something wrong with it? Sorry for the long post. Thanks in advance.

700 is cheap for a hard top.... Most likely it has a chip or broken windows..

I will deffently look at it very good for damage/cracks. He wanted 1200 for it but after two months on negociations he's down to 700. What all would I need to put it on? Just take off my soft top and all the window rails and just mount it right up?

The top is basically self contained. 8 bolts are required for attachment, metric, obtainable at any auto parts store. 9.8 grade with washer made on them, a 13mm head size. Much cheaper than OEM torx bolts, and easier to use. A guy with a hardtop sitting around is likely to cut the price to get rid of it. Give it a look and snap it up, it sounds like a deal. I like my hardtop much better than the ragtop. It really civilizes the JK. The ragtop goes in the garage every winter. Make sure the gaskets are clean on the top panel openings and on the bottom edge of the top where it sits on the body.
