Default Got It!! Removing 2012 Visor Warnings

Those big ugly yellow visor stickers on the 2012s have gotten a lot harder to remove. On advice I read in the forum I tried WD40, Goo Gone, a Hair Dryer, but the ONLY thing that worked for me was... a TEA KETTLE!

Remove the visor using a Torx screwdriver (just 2 screws). Boil some water in a tea kettle and steam that dang sticker, be careful because if you get the plastic too hot it gets soft. I was worried at first that i would tear through it, but just be careful and only scrape with your fingernails and the sticker will come off just fine and leave the black plastic underneath intact.

The best way is to steam one of the corners, get it started with your fingernails, then steam and pull little by little and try to keep it in one piece. Much easier than pulling off tiny pieces of plastic one at a time.

Removed half of the sticker on my drivers side in about 1 hour (was working slow just to be extra careful). Will finish it and start on the passenger side as soon as I have time.

I had success with my 2014 Visor.

I was able to remove the sticker in about 25 minutes and it wasn't very painful. I read all the posts about removing the stickers and put some ideas together.

I used 100 grit sandpaper and sanded the sticker until it was almost through (you can see when you are getting close). Then I used goo gone. As you are rubbing it on you can see the sticker start to bubble. If you pull slow you can get it to peel off. Hardest part is sanding the sides of the sticker enough without getting the visor itself. You can see that I didn't get the edge well on my first try.

I found it easier to grab a beer and forget about 'em. Now, I never even notice they're there!

Best way to "take them off" is to buy a couple black stickers and put them over the top,

Any ideas on how to get this one off? I don't know why those Italians would put the damn thing right in the middle of my dash on top of leather! Idiots.
