Default Grill Mod

I've seen everyone using the gutter guard for the grill modification. However, has anyone ever tried to use regular window/door screen? Depending on the thickness, it seems like it could be molded around the mold of the grill slot, thus getting rid of having to use the ties and whatnot. Anyone try this?

I did that on the Comanche I had years ago and it worked quite well.

Coming from someone who hit a bird while having the metal grates on my grill, i would highly doubt regular window screen would have held up.
It seems it would have likely just put a huge hole in it.

Also used epoxy around the edges of the plastic clips.

Still as strong and solid as the day I installed it on my 07 2 door that I sold and my new Unlimited
