I have a similar problem, mine is a 2012 sport and it was grinding going into first second third and fourth with the clutch all the way in, and the dealer replaced the synchros, but after getting it back and driving it for a week i still notice it grinding into third and second with the clutch fully depressed, so ill be taking it back in to the dealer on wednesday.

9000 miles on my 13. No problems at all. Gears whine a little when I fist take off when it's cold, but only for the first 100 feet.

I know what you mean by grinding and popping out of gear, as I recently purchased a 2008 JK 2 door, it also had the grinding, and popping out of first. It would happen several times daily. The dealer did replace two synchro's, the shift fork ass'y, throwout bearing, and a few small parts. That did repair the shifting, and most of the noise. I ran it for a couple hundred miles, then changed the oil to Amsoil. It did make it quieter. I've read the 6speeds are noisy, and mine has 100,000 miles on it, so I'm not sure if its "normal"noises, or just worn a little. A loose shift knob will make lots of noise also.

Default 2018 Jeep Wrangler jk

I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler jk that has started to grind it’s gears in second and a little in third when it’s cold, I just replaced the clutch but never ended up replacing the shift fork and that little ball that it connects to so I guess I have a two part question

1: has anyone figured out what the grinding gears are?( I’ve blead the clutch slave twice so there’s no air in the line)

2: I’ve had an annoying “ticking” sound coming from the trans prior to even doing the clutch and I’m thinking it’s because the shift fork and little ball were worn out because once I push the clutch fully in it stops

any help would be amazing thank you

Did you change the transmission oil? Good rule is change everything when you are inside the bellhousing. Even the pilot bearing in the crankshaft.

Did you use one of the 3 or so oils available for this transmission? All expensive Mopar at $32/liter or Amsoil about $16/liter or Pennzoil Synchromesh $$$$ unknown but similar to Amsoil.
