Question Hardtop flutter/vibration

I traded in my 2009 2dr for a 2012 4dr. I love it except I noticed that when I get over 25mph, it sounds like the hardtop is fluttering/vibrating. My wife says I have super hearing as she doesn't hear it, but I also feel it in my ears. I dropped it off this morning to have them re-balance/check the tires. I didn't notice this with my two door. It almost sounds like I have one of the windows cracked but they are all shut. Does anyone else notice this? Is it a 4dr thing because the top is longer and has more area to flex?

Thanks,
Chris

For starters, I'd just make sure all the the bolts are tightened properly. 2 at both ends in the front near the overhead roll-bar and then 6 in the back, 3 on each side...

Other than that, I don't know. The hard top on the 4 door is larger of course, but I'm not sure if that's the culprit. Lets see what other members think and comment....

I'm sure you checked, but are all the bolts tight? Sometimes those fasteners that slide inside the sill that the bolts bolt into jar loose and slide all around and make noise. They have some weight to them, so this could be the problem. Or possibly part of the base got damaged/warped when taken off which doesn't allow it to sit flush....?

Just some suggestions, could be way off.... had a hard top on my first JK, opted for just the soft top this time for a couple reasons....
