Default has the dash eaten your stuff yet?

i was doing some crazy steep climbs at Moab yesterday and forgot my little gel stick pad that hold stuff on the dash and some things went flying. i cant find it now so i kinda think that freaking gap between the windshield and dashboard swallowed it. i found several receipts and stuff that have been sucked into that gap.

besides removing the dash i guess it is lost forever. kinda a stupid design to have such a large gap there.

my wife tossed her hair clip on the dash while she fixed her hair and it went right in the gap, we just looked at each other like, what the hell? never found the clip and now nothing goes on the dash but bills

Mine ate one of the suction cups that holds my radar detector on the windshield. Tried to fish it out with one of those cable claw retrievers things, not gonna happen.

WONDER IF YOU COULD TAKE THAT BLACK FOAM PIPE WRAP, CUT A SECTION OF IT AND TUCK IT IN THE GAP, TO CLOSE IT UP.

Crazy, I was just thinking the same thing...

Here is my horror story as I posted in a thread the other day; Try losing your key down there...

"LOL, I thought I was the only one that pulled this bone headed move... The real stink of the deal for me was it happened while I was at work, 3am during a nasty snow storm; winds were 25mph, and it was 15 degrees!!!!! I was not dressed properly for the weather. I couldn't reach them from above, so I ended up learning how to disassemble the dash enough to remove the instrument cluster, this finally allowed me to retrieve my key.

I have since learned to never place anything on the dash...

dash has not eaten any of my stuff yet... but I am pretty sure I have a full tree worth of leaves in there... seems like when there are leaves, paper, or other light object in the vehicle and the doors are off and top is down, then are sucked straight into said gap... aggravating as hell...
