Default Headlights on at key unlock

All,

I know there is a thread about reprogramming different items, but I couldn't find the original post and I'm not sure if this was answered.

I'm looking to turn off my "lights on" when I use my key fob to unlock my 2012 JK. Any way to do this?

Probably in my manual.....

Thanks!

Because when I walk up to my Jeep and it's parked in front of someone in a parking lot I feel it's a bit rude to blast them with my lights while I'm loading up my Jeep or fiddling around and I haven't started it yet. It's just bothered me that I don't have control of when they go on.

I do like it when I hit the button in the morning in the garage and they turn on....

If you have the EVIC then you can tab to the personal settings using the menu button on the steering wheel. There you can change the lights, among a few other things.

Check the manual, under "Illumination Approach"....

Press and Release the MENU button until Personal Settings displays in EVIC. Use DOWN button to display one of the choices: Such as Illumination Approach.

When this feature is selected, the headlights will activate and remain on for up to 90 seconds when the doors are unlocked with the RKE transmitter. To make your selection, press and hold the SELECT button until “Off,” “30 sec,” “60 sec,” or “90 sec” appears.

Or, go to the Stealer and have them set it up for you. That's what I did, since I don't have a SELECT or EVIC button.

I imagine it as m jeep saying hello to me. Kind of like your dog when you come home from work.
