Default Heater?

Good day fine jeep people! I'm new to the forum but not jeeps. I've been a jeep owner for 18 years or so. I just bought a 2015 unlimited sport right hand drive for my wife, she is a mail carrier. The lady I bought it from said after it gets to operating temp it has to cool off before it'll crank. I figured the problem to be a cam or crank shaft position sensor. I replaced the left cam shaft position sensor as well as the crank shaft position sensor and now it will crank whenever but before I got the sensors changed I found that if you turn on the heater it would crank even when it was hot? I've never heard of this, and was wondering if anyone had any insights on this.

Welcome to JKF.. That is a very interesting phemon .. This is a good group of Jeepers with much knowledge and experience. I have not heard of such .. when you say no crank indicates an electrical issue and how would the heater (presume the fan or the hVAC module switched to heat mode) have an effect on the starter engaging.

Ok, when I said it wouldn't crank I mean the starter will turn the engine over all day but it wouldn't start. Before I changed the sensors if you turned on the heater it would start. Now the hill assist is sporadically coming on and not letting the transmission shift out of second. Is there a way to bypass that?
