Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Picked up some Rosonol this morning so I'm going to give soaking it in that a shot, I'll have to be extra careful to wash it all off in case I ever attempt the heat gun again :/ haah. The badge is too flat to use fishing line. Hopefully soaking it with this will do the trick.

3m adhesive remover and it will fall off. Ive used it for removing a clear bra from my old Gallardo; paint safe and demolishes decals...

Using the proper tool for the job is always the first step. I wouldn't use alcohol or acetone on a vehicle. If you can buy it at Walgreens it doesn't belong near any vehicle you care about....

Get the 3m adhesive remover from your local hardware or automotive paint supplier...

The aerosol stuff at autozone etc is not the same.... Get the above. You will find tons of uses for it....

Just get a corner started and slowly rub this in.... I soak a paper towel.. Score the decal and then set it over it.... Place Saran Wrap over the towel and blue tape in place... Come back in 10-15 minutes.... Repeat until solved...

Don't forget to wax your vehicle when your done... It will take it all off..... Great way to clean a vehicle before you clay bar it too...... Wipe and go....

an eraser wheel works best on decal-type adhesive appliques applied to painted metal panels only.... Then a quick-wipe with prep-sol to remove any residue film and you are good to go. Worked in my shops for 30 years....

For the big, 3d emblems dealers put on cars i use dental floss to get behind it and saw it off. Then goo gone takes the remaining residue off.
