Default Help Needed for the Installation of Mopar Production Rubicon Rock Rails

Does anyone have the installation instructions for the above pictured Mopar Production Rubicon Rock Rails?

Main question is whether any drilling is needed or its just a case bolting on in existing places.

Thanks

PS My JK did not came with these preinstalled so its like installingthem on an X JK

They are bolt on only.

I put on the rub rails which seemed to use the existing factory holes. You may have to pull off the tape to reveal the body side holes and the other bolt go thru the pinch seams of the rocker pannels.

None the less, it is a bolt on mod. that may require another person to hold it while you start the nuts on the bolts.

Godd luck

I put them on my X. Straight bolt on to the frame and pinch seam. The directions that came with mine were useless. Just a few pictures, no description at all.

There are some clips that come with it. Just test fit the rock rail to make sure you put the clips in the right hole that lines up with the mounting bracket. On mine, the holes were covered with some black tape, so I put the clip in the hole thatw as not covered. When I went to put the rail on, oops, I saw my mistake. The clip is removable but just took a little extra time.

Easy install overall.

Run down to the dealership, crawl underneath a Rubi that has the rails on, take a quick look. You will be surprised how easy the installation is.

One piece of advice. When removing the rails, have help, or watch where your head is when you take out the last big bolt. Damn that hurt!

Hope that did not leave a permanent mark!!!

thanx for the advise however unfortunately in Greece the JK Rubicon is not an official import so none are around and most likely with a cost in Greece of, hold on to your seat as this is not an exxageration, USD69,000!!!,there isnot going to be one in the near future.

However note taken and I will be getting help during installation in order to avoid any discomforting head bumps!!!!

My wife would tell you that it did leave a mark, or at least caused brain damage. But then she thinks everything causes me brain damage. What she has not realized is that my brain "shortcomings" did not begin until the day after we got married. Coincidence? I think not.

Good luck on the install. You will be pleasantly surprised to find out that it is very easy.
