Exclamation HELP six speed 2012 transmission

Is there anybody out there that had problems with six speed transmissions 2012 that were solved? (jumping out of gear or rattle in 3rd and 4th)

Once I got to about 1500 miles or less on my '12 Sahara It was popping out of 4th, making noise in third and didn't like to go straight down from 5th into 6th. Took to dealer and they said there was a TSB for it (they replaced the entire shifter assembly) and that fixed everything except it making noise in 3rd. Hope this helps, no fun to have those kinds of issues on a brand new vehicle. Good luck.

I am having the same problem with my 2007 wrangler x 6 speed except its popping out of first. I read somewhere that there is an inner boot under the shifter that could be causing the problem but I'm not exactly sure. I haven't had the time to try and figure it out and I don't have the money right now to be doing any transmission work..

There is a TSB for that, they replace the rubber shift boots, i would take it and get them to do it before it causes damages to the the mechanical components

Uh huh. I'm keeping an eye on it and may make them look again at next oil change. HATE having to badger them to get it fixed when it's so obvious compared to the other six gears (1,2,4-6 and Rev).

Each gear may sound different due to the different speeds the gears are spinning

I sincerely hope thats the case, but when the other five forwards sound the same (relatively quiet, no clicking/ticking), then I question 3rd gear and why it's noisy.

Ask the service manager to ride with you then, and make sure that they hear the exact noise you're referring to. That's what usually works for me.

But if they still tell you that's perfectly normal, then you're SOL. On the plus side, if that gear does fail after your warranty has expired, you'd have a good shot of getting Chrysler to cover it anyway since you were trying to report it early on.
