Help tranny

Default Help tranny

Just changed my fluid an the tranny didnt even take a full 2qts before it started to come out the fill hole. I'm about 4-6oz shy of a full 2qts can this be a problem

In the 2 auto trans fluid changes I've been involved, both 2008, 3.8. We drained as much as possible (suction out via the trans dip stick tube) dropped the pan and replaced the filter. It took 7 or 8 quarts. How much did you drain? It should take at least that much. Check JK write ups on the forum.

Well I have a manual so I have a fill an drain plug. It only take a tad over 2qts from what the write up says an the manual says it take 2.135 qts but mine didnt even take a full 2qts

Lol yeah I changed both tranny fluid an transfer case. I drove it to work last night which is a 52mile round trip not a problem. I just thought it was weird that it didnt even take a full 2qts
