Default Hinges rusting/paint bubbling?

I spent an hour washing my Jeep yesterday, and noticed the paint on the door hinges looks like absolute crap. The Jeep is less than a year old based on the manufacture date, but it appears that rust if forming under the paint and causing it to bubble up. The paint hasn't cracked or anything, and is even glossy, but it has a textured appearance now, and it is like that on all 8 hinges. Anyone else seen anything like this?

That picture is EXACTLY what mine looks like. So what are people doing about it?

Just bring it to the dealer. I had the issue, fortunately not as bad as that photo, but they repainted the hinges for me.

I wouldn't worry about it since the 35" tires your running (same as I have) will sandblast / rockblast all the paint off of them anyways !

I'm hoping to avoid the issue... I greased all 8 door pins with Marine Grease shortly after taking delivery, and plan to reapply each Fall/Spring. They really should have suggested this in the user manual. Did TJs have this problem?

ARGH I just noticed rust on the hinges also... The jeep was built in september, so it's like 6 months old max. Since the jeep was so dirty, I thought it could have been just powedered rust (can be washed off) or something. Then today I examined them and they're pretty bad for a half year old car. Imagine how it'll look like in years from now. This is totaly unacceptable. So if the dealer repaints them, won't it just come back after another couple months? Not happy.

Me too. But I'm guessing it is.

Also, if you have the rust proof, which is waranteed for life, does it cover the hinges? Cause then, atleast you could get them repainted every year for free.
