Holy crappy soft top batman!! Anyone else's top totally fallen apart after
only a few years? The bolts and nuts are all gone from half of the hinges!! Sheesh!!!
Not a huge deal and it still works, but wow it's a total piece of shit haha. Oh well. Nothing a trip to the hardware store can't fix.

Both the Nylon straps that hold the middle bow are now gone! and all the rounded courners are splitting. But like you said it still works! I live in the south so its normally up in winter and down in spring, summer, and half of fall ;P
I replaced all my rivets with 3/16ths. The rivet gun and replacement rivets were under $15.00. My top works much better. My strap had gotten loose from middle bow and were coming off in the back.
I had never done riveting before....very easy and rewarding.

I've used mine for 2 summers and its showing some wear and tear. The nylon straps that run from the rear to the middle bow are broken, and my rear zipper is a PITA. I've tried to take care of it, but I knew from the get go a soft top last about 5 years and thats it. Thats why I made sure I also got a hard top.

Mine is an 08 and started coming unstitched in many places.
took it to the dealer and they replaced the top.
No new issues yet. But less than two years old and coming unstitched???
hopefullythe new one fairs better!!!

No problem with mine,
i declined the factory soft top, still using the trektop from my 08, works great with only the odd leak and a touch of wind noise. just adds character, it a jeep thing.
Wow, I've had no issues with mine and I'm at 2 1/2 years. Mine is up almost year round, even though doors are off most of the time form April to November, just too hot to not have the shade. One thing you might consider if you go without rear windows is to roll up the corners and use a strap to hold the back down. Everyone I know that goes without windows often, have problems with the top and it stems from the corners getting stretched out and worn out from the wind buffeting.

I happened to notice one of the bolts working its way loose once and now I try to remember to check them all periodically. They do work themselves loose over time...
My top is only 1 1/2 years old, but as I live in the changing weather of the south, it's up and down often - no sign of wear yet! I have used a silicon based spray every 3 or 4 months
on the top that has kept the zippers and top looking the original black and working well - a friends JK purchased just a few months before mine is already greying from the sun and I bet getting brittle.
