Why do you say that? I mean it gives a bit better throttle response and it goes I'm the stock air box, (not talking about cai)

You can see by my ID that I am an engineer. One thing people tend to forget- engineers really do try their best to use engineering principles in their designs. Yes, I can't argue that sometimes cost constraints compromise the designs. But thinking a household air filter will suffice in a vehicle engine is taking it too far. The requirements of impurities that can pass through your household heating system are quite different from what the needs are for air passing though your engine, which has much tighter tolerances.

I have been using K&N air filters in all my vehicles for the past ten years or so. I don't seem to have any problems with them.
