He says that because k&n will allow more particles to pass by it then some other cheaper filters. Better air flow yes. Better filtering not so much. With that said I too use a k&n filter. I'm just posting what others have said. I never tested any filter or researched it.

Exactly why. You don't gain much to run a HIGH FLOW filter, 1hp? lol not worth it, even the price. Stick to stock, my 2 cents.

Unless you drive in very dusty conditions, I wouldn't be very concerned. I check mine all the time, and have never had a problem with the filtering.
