Homemade Bikini Tops?
Made mine from some solar material bought in the garden section at Lowes. You can get a roll of twine that includes a large plastic needle in the same section. I then stiched gromets around the edge where I wanted my tie down points to be. I use small bungees that have balls on the end to strap it down. Covers both front and back of my four door JK. Less than $30.00 and about two hours of time

Here are pics from the original test-fit. Sorry I don't have any of the final version, which looks and fits better without wrinkles. I altered the way the velcro attaches, made it tighter and quicker, and trimmed the corners to lessen flapping.
I went with a two-piece design of nylon cordura, the same stuff for military seabags. I wanted flexiblity of having the front off/back on etc. I used it late last summer through fall, worked great. I mainly wanted sun protection for those long, slow trail days when there's no wind to cool you.
It flaps a little at highway speed, but that's fine by me. It survived a strong, stormy, 4 1/2 hour highway drive. It was soaked but the interior was pretty dry since I was moving the whole time.
When it warms up and I stow the factory top 'til fall, I'll take some more pics of the final version. Sorry I don't know how to make them non-click.
