When I put it on, the holes for various parts were in different places. Go figure. It eventually got torn up and, since my Jeep didn't have one brand new, I just took it off and tossed it. More hassle than it's worth. I have noticed that the new ones look a little bit better constructed: The fabric is a tighter weave so that grazing it with the hood support rod may not gouge into the fabric. And the hood hail damage? Yeah, it happened again twice more, one of which I had it paintless repaired. But after the last one I decided to just leave it be. The first two times it happened in my driveway. The third time it happened running from an F5 tornado ...

Holy crap! An F5. We only get a couple of tornados here a year and they are small by comparison. We've been known to get hurricanes though.

Had to stop and take a picture though, huh?

Yikes that's scary! My 2011 sport didn't have insulation or light. My 2016 rubicon hard rock has insulation and no light. Always wondered why they didn't put lights on all at least..

I know that before it was base sports didn't have them and Sahara and Rubis did. Almost all my friends that added 10a hoods don't run them(me included) don't think it changes anything. Maybe the hood may feel a little more of the engine heat?
