Default Horn isn't working?

I went mudding and then rinsed it all off it was fine then the next day it was fine then I went playing in some puddles and after wards I can hear my horns but their not that loud. I can hear it in the drivers seat like normal and you can hear it if your 10 feet away but it's really really weak. It will remind of when you try to talk with your mouth closed but when your infront of it you can't really hear them.

Time to upgrade with some train horns.

Something like this should do the trick:

Normal horns usually "die" either with an internal electrical problem or the diaphragm develops a problem and doesn't push air properly.

You can pick up an (almost) direct replacement at any auto parts store, one or 2 bolts and a plug and you're done.

Or you can upgrade!

I personally have a generic auto parts replacement under the hood (which is kinda weak) to the stock horn button, but am upgrading my air horn setup this weekend. It's ok now but I'm upgrading the entire system so got some nice shiny new ones.

Really is there a horn that is offroad quality? lol I think I will let it dry over the night and see tomorrow morning if its fine to confirm its screwed up. Are there anygood horns at say Autozone, Checkers or Pepboys?

Is changing your horn an everyday thing if you offroad?

Take it off and clean it out.
Clean the contacts in the plug.
Clean the mount. It's probably the ground point.
