Huh? I'm not following? Are you having a problem with your heat?

No, no. The heat and everything works fine. It blows up at the windshield fine as well. When I turn the knob all the way to the defog position (right), I can feel it hit the detent at the end but whe I let it go, the knob just turns back a 1/4" or so. It just doesn't stay turned all the way to the end. Still blows at the windshield though. Guess that's why I haven't looked into it. Not causing any problems, just a little annoying.

Here's my *hot* air circulation tip:

Put the circulation onto the feet setting.

On this setting you'll get a small amount of output to the windscreen which is enough to defog it but you'll not activate the air conditioner (saving gas) and soon be warm as toast.

And if it's really cold you won't crack the windscreen as it warms up.

I always used to circulate the air to the windshield in my previous vehicles until i learned that the air conditioner comes on in this position with the JK even if it's switched off..

Your right, it does come on. Most vehicles are like that these days. You can crack the windshield by defogging it? Didn't ever think about that, but makes sense. I also didn't know you get air flow at the windshield when set to the floor. I'll have to try that.

Yeah i feel some output to the windshield in the foot setting with the fan only cranked up half way or less.

I read somebody cracked their windshield going from ice cold to hot in the windshield circulation setting.

The heater is certainly somrthing that has always been done well in Jeeps. My YJ had floor vents only and I would burn my feet with it on low.
