hey mine says dana 42960 1 033 7 revx1 3-22-00 didn't see anywith with what someone said earlier about looking on the left side it says shf 1 2006 126???? I am lost. I have a stock jk unlimited with no tow package. Everyone keeps asking me what rear end i have on it and i don't have the window sticker. any advice

Do you have an automatic? If so, all Unlimiteds with automatics have a D44 rear.

WAR EAGLE!!!!!!! and yes its an auto. i looked at it a few minutes ago and accoriding to the link that someone post in this thread its the d44 but both are still 10 bolt patterns. but i am confused cause its the shape listed for the 44 but it has the plastic/rubber drain holes so i don't know

if you could take a picture i am sure someone can identify it.

if you look at the link above you can see the shape of the gasket. just match it up to the shape of your housing.

you could also get the dealer to run your vin and get you a build sheet. it will have all the details about your heep.

look at the differential cover...if it's Oval shaped, then it's D-35, if it looks like a stop sign, then it's D-44....

According to the gasket shape by npd, I have the dana 44. If I have it, then everyone should have one. I have the base jeep so to speak.

All 6 speed X's come with Dana 44 Next gen in the rear, automatics come with Dana35 unless you get the towing package.

no, that's the other way around .. all auto has D-44, but manual gets D-35 unless you get the 4.10 ratio option (then you get D-44)

i found my window sticker I have an unlimited sarhara 4dr. stock auto and its says Next generationDana 44 with the 3.21 gear ratio. hope that helps anyone. I had to dig for that but glad i found it. thanks for ya'lls help
