Thanks to all for your responses. I have been doing the same as most and only using the velcro straps to secure the 3 bars (since I couldn't fit it through the tub slots). It's good to know that it won't go any where. I'll just leave those bolt threads where they are. Thanks!

I usually wrap the velcro straps around the soft top support when I drop the top. What are the elastic straps with snaps for? I thought they were for the windoes, but I can't see how they attach.

The velcro straps are for your kids to play with when the top is down. You don't need them for the top unless you are running the sunrider of the freeway.
