90K on my 2008 unlimited with 35" tires. Only problem so far was the parking brake assembly, which was an easy $50 fix.

Great vehicles for what they are, but quality is quality and Chrysler does not go all out on quality and design. That's just a fact. Now don't get me wrong I love my Jeep and if I didn't I would have canned it upon the motor failures. I just simply wanted to show the other side of the picture with Jeep. And of course more people will post on the good because people like to share good news, we just do. And of course people that speak up about the bad will be "labeled" as whiners. It is what it is I guess.

Jeep on!
Actually statistics show that people are 70% more likely to complain than compliment anything. That's why forums are filled with complaints and fear mongering. The 99% of any brand are silent because most aren't on a forum, and many who are sought them out because of their dissatisfaction. My comments were, as you suspected, not directed towards you or anyone specific. I simply see annual complaints when each new model year comes out because people who never owned a Jeep (and some that shouldn't) begin to complain because their new toy isn't as smooth or quiet or "road worthy" as their Mercedes, Lexus or Cadillac. If they want all of these things they should have gotten a Grand Cherokee.

We are at 36,000 miles in our 2008 Unltd. It sees city driving, some highway use and off-roading. It lives in both hot (90 deg) and below freezing temps. No troubles so far with the engine or transmission. Had a stuck brake caliper and a leaky rear differential. Other than that it's just had routine maintenance.
