Default Howto remove the stickers off the 2012 sunvisors

It's been hammered on without solution. From what I understand, as of 2010 they aren't really "stickers", more like a similar material the visor is made of and heated to the point of being molded into the visor material. It won't "peel" off even when heated, but will if rubbed!!

You might get lucky and get most of it off on a hot day, if you work on it long enough and if when assembled, they did a shitty job heating the pieces up during assembly (one of mine was like this the other was done *very* well!!).

So, get a blow dryer and a pair of Stanley leather soft calfskin gloves (everyone carries a pair in their trunk, right?).

Remove the visor, take it over th your bench. Anchor it down with a couple Quick-Grips or wedge it so it doesn't move while working on it. Be sure to put down a towel or something to protect the plastic mirror cover.

Start at a corner and heat the crap out of it. Push/stroke/massage the corner with a well protected thumb/glove. Go slow, it'll start coming up. Rinse and repeat the process until the "sticker" is completely removed, never letting up on the heat

<Phew>

Yeah, my drivers side sticker looks like shit. I've tried and tried to peel/pick/tear off small pieces and it really looks bad and at the rate I'm going, I probably only have about 1 year to go! lol I'm really disappointed...

I don't recommend taking heat to the 2011/2012 visors to get the stickers off. You might get lucky and have no issues, but I ended up burning the shit out of the vinyl underneath and it started peeling too, after about a month of slow progression. Finally, I said f'it and ordered black cover up stickers from Pixel Decals, that are form fitted for covering up the 2011/2012s.

I did the same thing and ordered the decals from pixeldecal.com. I think the cover up decals look pretty good.

I tied the heat on mine and in about 4 hours I had 1/3 of the sticker off. I then gave up and just painted it. Much better and allot less work.

$25 for the set of two. The wide one for the driver side and narrow one for the passenger side.

I think it would be easier to just order a pair of aftermarket visors and just replace them
