Default I curse you tie rod.!

Took me a few hours. But I got it. Mapp gas and pickle fork. I also wacked my hand. What a pain in the ass.

I replaced it with the dodge pickup moog tie rod that fits perfectly on pitman arm side.

Sorry for your injury. But the picture the above description generates of you removing your tie rod is actually quite comical. You wouldn't have a YouTube video to share, would you? ;-)

When I replaced mine I had just moved and didn't have all my tools with me. I ended up breaking it loose with a big rock!

Know your pain. Did mine a month back. What a pain in the a$$. Beat on it. Sprayed with blaster. Repeat many times. Waited a couple of hours and did it again. Just did the tie rod with a tool from quadratec and that popes right off. Though I doubt it would fit on the drag link.

The only tool you can use for the TR on pitman side is a pickle fork. I tried using a TR seperator and Chrysler made absolutely no room for one.

Haven't had to do mine yet, but thinking it might be easier to pull the pitman arm off of the sector shaft, drop the thing down and then have a go at it with a TR separator?
