Default I did the tune up in a can. It works!

Like all jk's, my 2007 2 door was weak as hell. It would, literally, down-shift on flat ground at 70 MPH! I've known that something had to wrong. A 200 HP motor in a 3400# jeep should not feel that weak. So, after reading many threads here, I bought the 3M do-it-yourself tune up. I had already cleaned the throttle-body previously and that didn't help. It only takes about half of an hour to do this and it works. Holy crap!, it works good! I've increased from 14.5 MPG to 16.5 MPG . It doesn't downshift on highway over passes. It's definitely more spirited. I paid about $70 for it at the NAPA auto parts in Beaumont, TX. There was, already, another heavy film on the back of the throttle plate. I've gotta check that pcv.

Or you can get a $10 can of Chrysler combustion chamber cleaner, and a $10 bottle of seafoam for the tank....

You get an intake cleaner, a can of throttle body cleaner/ lubricant, and some additive for the tank. The kit comes with a DVD for instruction, but the video is also on YouTube.

It's supposed to clean the intake manifold, valves, pistons, and injectors.

Lol you need a DVD to do this? Companies love for people to get ripped off by products like this. Not saying it doesn't work, but you could have done the same thing and spent 1/4 of the money

Who's gonna spend 10 bucks on a dvd when you can watch it on youtube?

Im glad this worked well for you, but I do agree it would be cheaper to buy the products individually.

I didn't know that 3M made products like this, that's good to know. As others have said you probably could have done the same for cheaper, but if you didn't know that price isn't bad for what you have restored. I say that it's worth the money you spent instead of piecing several things together and trying to figure it out yourself. That's where the extra cash comes into play, it's a complete kit that everyone can do with no issues. Thanks for sharing, I will keep this in mind when my Jeep get older.
