I don't think any damage occurred, but...
I thought I'd post here to see if I might have overlooked a place to inspect.
The short version: I was leaving the parking garage from work last evening, and the exit gate arm malfunctioned and came down on the top of my 2010 Sport two-door. The arm was wooden (appeared to be cheap pine) and broke when it contacted with the roof.
Now the particulars: I had the sunrider top back, so it appears that the arm struck the metal frame of the top and not the top itself or the body (as far as I could see that evening). The point of impact was between the plastic locking sleeve and the fabric, and I think the small metal protrusion that comes out just ahead of the fabric (when the top is folded back) is what caused the arm to break off (which probably saved the fabric from being damaged).
I gave the top a once-over as best I could last night, and other than a scratch on the metal tubing I could find no signs of damage. Anything I ought to look at furhter so as not to miss any other possible damage?
The incident has been reported, and there's no statute of limitations on filing a claim with my employer, so I have at least the weekend to muck about with it.
Thanks for any suggestions.
