driving to work yesterday and getting off the exit, traffic on the other side, then CRACK!! what the ---- was that? looked at the windshield and saw the impact. very small. no bug, must have been a rock. it was loud. upon inspection it left a very small star. about mid way, down at the bottom. figures, drove all winter without incident, then bam. at least it did not crack. for a 07, my windshield is really pristine. just one other smaller pit. part of jeep ownership.

 

I've had quite good luck with those places that repair a windshield--almost always can't see the repair. I did have one that, after about three years, spread out from the damaged area overnight across three feet of windshield. But, if you don't have a star repaired, it'll be sooner than later that you're buying a new windsheild.

its a very small one. but to be on the safe side, a tire dealer up the street does the novus repair system. i am going to have it looked at friday in the am. insurance covers the repair in PA.

 

repair done. it was small and did not go thru, but he filled it and repaired. less noticable. $52.87 to the insurance.
