Surprised you even have damage. I've backed into 2 cars and had a drunk guy rear end me and I barely had a scratch. Jeeps are rock solid!

Insurance will pay for what is on at time of accident. Your body shop should repair you'r jeep and allow you to upgrade the bumper for the price difference. They probably wont charge for install labor either on the new bumper.
The body shop won't do aftermarket parts so I'd do the bumper my self, I'm going to call them today to let them know that I'll be replacing the bumper

Thanks, it's going into the body shop in 2 weeks to get the tub fixed

Yes they have but it's also towards getting the rear corner fixed also so whatever's left over I'm gonna put toward the bumper

Haha I don't know about the rock solid. I think only the things that get replaced with aftermarket are lol

Since I've been building show cars for years now I learned its best to make a list of all mods and give to insurance company. The rates are a little higher but basically everything is covered. I'm with geico now and they even cover ALL of my upgraded suspension parts!

Again- been there, done that.

Some guy decided to change lanes without looking and basically rubbed the whole right side of my jeep and then the rear bumper. The quote was for paint, both right side flares, and a bumper. I had the shop do the paint and I took the check for the rest to go my own direction on the bumper/ flares.
