Defroster light burnt out. Anybody know the part number for this bulb? Hopefully replacing will be as simple as pulling the dash panel and removing a single bulb?

I'm reading that it may be all LED in there? They get pretty hot though. Anyone have any info on replacing the light?

That sucks man. One of those things that is like $100 or more to replace the whole cluster for what is probably a $2 LED that would require a decent bit of ingenuity and time to fiddle with......and also just annoying enough to aggravate you every night. Sorry that's no help

I watched YouTube clip of someone swapping a bulb in a grand Cherokee. Just needs a little soldering. More jeep aggravation, just what I need lol! You already saw my trackbar thread. Still haven't gotten around to fixing that. Now this. You can see my fresh NTB issue in JK Talk too lol.

Looks to be a process something like this. I can't be the first one to have a bulb go. Anyone else here deal with this?

I replaced the bulb, not a big deal. I'd have to go look for a receipt but the bulbs are $2 a piece. You have to unsolder the old bulb and solder a new one in. It's not a bad process and absolutely worth your time instead of buying a new/ used cluster.

Do you think I should just replace them all while I'm in there? Others could burn out at any time. I ordered up these from Amazon:

CEC Industries #2162 Bulbs, 14 V, 1.4 W, Wire Terminal Base, T-1.75 shape (Box of 10) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JLVAIPG..._ixxuyb7YKMWNP

I did replace all of the bulbs while I was in there. I figured on the same line you did- they could burn out at any time so why not replace all of them now? They're all evenly lit as well, the same can't always be said for the LED replacements.

Did you use LED's? If so, can you post a link to the ones you used?

Nope, just standard incandescent bulbs. I can find the receipt but I took the bulb into Batteries + Bulbs and found the right bulb.
