The soft top zippers are IMO horrible quality and design and always have been. Nothing but problems, and a short duty lifespan. My TJ was the same way. I hope if they improve anything for the next gen Jeep it's these damn zippers!

Silicone spray the entire zipper track often. Use archer's wax or bar soap to keep them running smoother. Whatever you do, don't try to force a jammed zipper; the fabric tears easily. Good luck finding an upholstery shop that will do a decent job on a HD curved zipper... never again...
