Default Jeep stinks when going above 70 mph

So this is something ive been experiencing for a while now. Whenever i drive above 70 mph, my Jeep starts to smell like its burning ( similar to lit fireworks). The temps are normal and I have no vibrations or strange noises. The smell usually more noticeable with the windows or top down. I can not figure out what it could possibly be. Im running 35's and 4.10s just to give you guys a little background.

You need to check you catalytic converter. It's probably toast.

My Jeep "stinks" at getting to 70 mph and maintaining that speed, especially on hills...

Got to re-gear one of these days.

What size lift and stock drive shafts? My jeep did the same exact thing and it was to much angle on the joint at the transmission it would get really hot ans smell really bad.

Mine does too and I have 1100 miles. I was assuming it was the newness burning off and would disappear? Guess I need to watch it now, or uh smell it now.

2.5 inch coil with stock shafts. Thats seems like it could be the issue. How did you solve it?

Manual? Or auto?

Mine has four inch lift, and occasionally has the same issue.

It doesn't smell like coolant or oil, and might be the exhaust now that i think of it. Always at mid range on the tach as well, around 3500 rpm
