jeep wont start

Default jeep wont start

my girlfriends 2007 jk x 2 door wont start. we put an optima battery in this January. last week i took her doors off for the first time idk if that has a play into anything. need help she has been stranded for 4 hours in a parking lot while im out of town. any suggestion on what is going wrong. everything turns on like normal but the engine?

Have her put it into neutral then try.

Turn key just far enough for all the dash lights to come on. then put it into neutral and try starting it.

Could be a blown fuse.

i told her to do that but it still didnt turn over any other tricks she also tried to jump start it and that didnt even work

If the starter isn't turning over at all it could be several things. She may want to take a look at the fuse panel as suggested above. Also make sure the battery cables are nice and tight.

its going to the dealer as soon as pro tow gets to pick her up and would this problem be covered under warranty

Pull the positive battery cable off and reinstall or pull the Ignition disable fuse and re-install, then try starting.

okay ill try that if it happens again. jeep is sitting outside of the huffines jeep dealer ship parking lot over nigh, wish it was in the lot b/c its in a not so good part of town with the top down and doors off prying that nothing happens to it over night.
