Default JK (Hood) Cant Handle Car Wash

Blowers at car wash caved my hood in. Was able to pop it out but will never take it through blowers again.

Go anywhere in a Jeep just not a car wash dryer.

Yeah. Don't take it anywhere near hail, either.

I think that rather than complaining about it, you should try to discover the root cause....which is, of course, that car washes make the Jeep sad .

Yea the dryer at the local HydraSpray here does seem to distort the hood a bit when driving through, however as many times as I've been through, I've never had mine damaged. As for the soft top, I just turn the defroster on high and it pops the top up nicely. Wow, that's some hood damage by the hail. Perhaps it's time to get with the insurance company then AEV.

WOW! I don't think anything would look good after being hammered by hail like that.

Ok, so the hail woulda dented the crap outta just about anyting, but I completely agree about the blowers giving the hood a bashing. I've owned 2 CJ5s, a TJ, and now a 2010 JK. I have to say that after heavily modifying the first three, and currently working on the JK, the sheet metal thickness (or lack thereof) is dissapointing. Thats my only real gripe about the vehicle itself.

Geez

Yah i near shat myself the first (and only) time i went through a car wash with my JK. The hood bowed so badly I thought it would be permanant but luckily, it popped itself out at the end. Now its a non issue since they wont let me in cas washes with a winch (so im told)...

Looks like the perfect excuse for a heat reduction hood (might as well add the snorkel at the same time)
