Default JK Unlimited springs on a JK

Has anybody installed springs from a 4 door JK and installed them on a 2 door? I know the rear unlimited springs are almost an inch longer and the fronts are about a half inch longer. I was curious how much lift resulted from this.

It's the other way around, the fronts are longer than the rears. The difference but yes I did the swap.

That is true the front springs are longer than the rear springs. Maybe I needed to state it a little better, but I was comparing the 4 door springs to the 2 door springs. I referenced the stock spring listing using Moog numbers, and the front springs on a 4 door are about 1/2" longer than the front springs on a 2 door, and the rear springs on a 4 door are listed as being almost 1" longer than the rear springs on a 2 door.

With older red cars, I would put station wagon springs in a coupe to lift the rear (I always hated air shocks), so I figured this would be a similar situation and wanted to hear results from those who may have tried it.

Thanks for the responses.

I wonder why they listed it that way. Here's some pics, front then rear. The left being from a jk, right JKU

There should be multiple different part numbers, not just two door verses four door. As discussed in multiple other earlier threads: the springs depend on the weight of the jeep, the only thing to look at are the last two digits of the part numbers, the front spring part number range from ending in 13 to 19, 19 being for the heaviest jeeps, therefore giving the most lift to your two door. The rear part numbers range from numbers ending in 56 to 61. As a general rule, (these are rough numbers, and vary slightly by jeep depending on its weight), your Jeep will gain about 1/4 of an inch in height for each number you go up. So if you go from 13s to 19s in the front you will gain about 1.5inches. Same height change goes for the back, so going from 56 to 61 would give you about 1.25 inches in the back.

There are an insane number of threads discussing this topic.

Happy Jeeping!
