JK.... What does it mean?
I don't think there's a meaning. Chrysler uses 1 and 2 letter codes for all their cars. The minivans are RS or RT now. The Libertys are KJ. Durango was HB and HG. Pacifica was CS. Jeeps were CJ, KJ, TJ, and now JK.
You can look up older codes under Chrysler car platforms.

The story I heard was that after the TJ Chrysler came up with the designation TK for the redesigned '07 Wrangler back when it was on the drawing boards still. TK is a logical next step from TJ, but at some point someone pointed out that there was not a "J" in the designation. So they left the K as the second letter and changed the "T" to a "J".
And now we all drive JK Wranglers.
But who knows.

I've been working in the auto industry for many years now. Pretty much all the auto makers do this for production. It serves as almost a part number for the vehicle. I think jeepers just know their vehicles a lot more intimately so we actually know what the designations for the jeeps are. Nobody cares about it when it comes to a car or minivan.
