The cap came off and the joint is flopping around in the axle.

No lift. Only 2wks old with no off roading only fire roads.

Is this on the driveshaft, or is it an axle U-joint? If it's an axle U-joint, check out this thread:

On the axle. I'm getting it covered under warranty or else. My jeep is bone stock. And I'm going to get the dealer to tack the caps on. That way no poppy off when driving. I bbet that's the loose clunky feeling I was getting in the wheel to. Every now and then over a bump, I would feel a clunk.

That would be a true definition of a warranty problem. Could be a Monday build.
It more then likey wont happen agian. I have 63000 on mine and wheel it a little hard. rocks, small creeks, hill. You know, up and over most thing that come up.

One of mine was toast after less than 1year and 25,000km. Random, but relatively cheap fix.

That's what I figured. It's an isolated incident. But I'm getting them to tack weld the caps for peice of mind.

I don't want to get stranded up in the bush.
