Manual Trans = Synchromesh type. Ex: Dealer stuff, Pennzoil Synchromesh, Royal Purple Synchromax

 

In '07 Jeep specified 80W-90.

 

Don't use additive with virtually all synthetics in the LSD. They work fine without it.

 

I'm no profesional. But if I planed on towing or pulling on anything. Or if I did a lot of offroading in 4WD. I would run the heavy oil in both diff's.

 

Last I checked, Royal Purple did NOT meet Chrysler spec.

It doesn't list it under Jeep or Chrysler but under Dodge it does say it's good for transmissions with MS9224 requirements(their own claim); which is what the nsg370 requires, right?

Chrysler does a good job of keeping us scared on fluids, that's for sure.

 

Scared or not, what they charge to service a tranny is cruel. Where they mounted that exhaust doesn't make it much easier.

I went looking for the Royal Purple stuff and could not find it anywhere locally.
Ended up going with some of the Pennzoil MS-9224 stuff and it works great. Tranny work is in my future, and getting that exhaust out of the way is well worth it

 

Thats odd it's listed under Dodge...

Either way, I looked over their bottle in the store the last time I was buying, and it didn't listed the MS9224 spec, so I didn't buy it. I went with Pennzoil, it was cheaper anyways.
