It's pretty common, especially on poorly crimped connections. I would take it in and get it fixed. Should be under warranty.

Small world. 2009 20,000 miles and leaking

The more I think about it...... This is my first mopar product, I've owned nothing but Fords all of my life. I wanted to get something different and I love my jeep.......but 20k miles and I have a leaky rear hatch gasket, leaky tranny line, the early stages of death wobble. I'm starting to question my purchase decision.

check to make sure that it is not leaking from where the lines are coming out of the tranny. The wifes were leaking from there, this was probably because the clip that holds the lines up was broken.

for he early stages of death wobble you will want to check the bolt that connects the front track bar to the axle. If it is threaded all the way down (like mine was) the threads wear out and then it lets the track bar shake like the bushings are out. I put a sleeved bolt in it and it rides like new.

I was recently up to see my daughter (TigerLily) and noticed that the trans cooler line on her '09 2 door was leaking just like that in the photo above. She has ~32k miles on her jeep (in 1.5 years - she drives alot). She's taking it in next week and we'll see if they'll replace it under warranty.

I have similar concerns, especially reading through the "stock JK tech" postings. The JK is my daughters first vehicle and she is 900 miles away going to college. Consequently she is at the mercy of the dealer (the only one within 100 miles) for a lot of things. Athough she has the lifertime power train warranty, the 3yr/36k mile warranty for the rest is soon up. Things could get prohibitively expensive for her if even relatively minor issues come up in the future (like this). I'm even considering buying an extended warranty - something I've never done before - simply because of the questionable lifetime of Mopar's parts.
