I have a question on the trucklites. I live in northern NJ and was wondering about the leds being able to function with blowing snow and ice buildup. Will these lights work or will they a buildup from ice and snow.

I have the KC LED headlights and drove all over in the blizzard this weekend. I had no problem with ice or snow covering them up. Thought they performed great and I'm sure the trucks or JWs would too.

 

Trucklite makes a heated version to take care of this issue.

 

Do these work as good as the TL's?

 

I'm happy with them, that's all I can really say. Never seen them side by side to compare. KC was a name I knew and trusted. Throw on top the 23 year warranty and I was sold.

 

Skip the LED H13 bulbs for the OE housings. The pattern will be diffuse and not help much other than looking cool for oncoming traffic. I am currently running TruckLite headlights, KC 4" Gravity driving lamps, and some IPF 100W Xenon's and I am pleased. I had done a set of H13 Diode Dynamics LED driving lamp replacement bulbs temporarily as my factory bulb had burned out and the quality was awful. They did not help with lighting the path in front of the Jeep anymore than the OE bulbs, but they looked cool! Save up for a solid set of headlights and you'll be glad you did.
