i thought it was supposed to be 19 / 60s

would this make my two door sit poorly
it would seem all i needs 17 / 58 for my application , im just trying to recoup a bit of sag in my front end due to bumper being 130lbs
over all height isnt a big issue to me. I dont want it to look lifted or higher up front than rear , i like factory rake really , would that set up be a bit over kill ? I dont want to change
shocks and links and crap he said $50 bucks for the set but im reluctant t buy them, due to the fact it might make it look lifted . i prefer a stock height . Do you think i should pass and wait for 17/ 58 set up?

Seeing im on 14/ 56 right now stock rubicon and over all satisfied . I dont want the dealership to void a warranty on power train either over adding to high of a spring to my 2 door .

or should i grab them quick for 50 bucks ??
I would grab them and put a spacer in the front. I am running heavy bumper as well with leveling kit.

Default ahhh i passed on it !

Chickened out ! I have a 2012 that never threw a code on the head issue . I dont want to risk the dealer rejecting it if they note * its been lifted . The dealers here are very strict and not be mod friendly. (as some can be )
Im not willing to pay for a future power train and or replace the head, at my own expense if they flag it to chrysler. Or loose warranty.

Raising it up higher they might reject it.
Soon as someone lifts a jeep they try to bump you

I never really understood why ? It dosent effect the mechanical end of transmission or engine .

Default 56AA vs. 58AA Rear Coil

Hi,

Would it be safe to assume that by increasing the rear coil one number, that an increase in rate capacity would be gained?

2015 Freedom Edition 2-DR with 56AA springs. Would like a bit more rear spring.

Thanks,

There are a couple of significant differences however and if we were to work together we can quickly figure out what matters.

I have discovered that depending on the fourth digit in your VIN that you either have a Jeep rated for 4000 to 5000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight or for 5000 to 6000 pounds gross vehicle weight.

If you have an F in the fourth position of your VIN you have the 4000 to 5000 pound GVW machine. If you have a G then you have a 5000 to 6000 pound GVW machine.

The difference is all in the springs. It may also be in the shocks as there are several part numbers for the shocks and it may be that they actually changed the valving slightly to get the shock/spring combo working right. Putting the heavier springs on your Jeep will yield a benefit in reduced sagging when you add some weight.

Some of you have done a budget boost by putting 4 door springs on your 2 door. But I can also tell you that some of the 4 door vehicles have the same lightweight springs that I had on my low end X. So you don't automatically get the benefit of a higher spring rate with all 4 door take off springs.

If we can figure out which part numbers come with the "G" version of the Jeep then you can know that you will get a significantly stiffer spring or possibly no benefit at all.

It has largely been a crap shoot to this point. But I would like to propose that you post to this thread only the following:

1 - Your Jeep Model: X, Unlimited or Rubicon 2 door or 4 door
2 - Heaviest top you got the jeep with
3 - Your Front Left Spring Number (all jeeps have one number higher on the left than the right to account for drivers side gas tank weight)
4 - Your Rear Spring Number
5 - Your Shock Part Number only if Red/Rubicon shocks, if Black just say black.
6 - The fourth Digit in your VIN: either F or G
7 - Year of the Jeep

Every time you post I will copy your post and edit in the spring numbers on the post following this one.

I will start the list with a set of take offs that came from a four door Rubicon that was the 5-6K GVW type.

Once we get the point at which we know the minimum of the heavies for the 5-6K machines and the maximum of the lighter springs for the 4-5K machines we will have some useful information for those of us wishing to upgrade on the cheap!
------

Better late then never. Actually just got the Warn Elite front bumper and figured it was time to check under the chassis. Almost got the Smittybilt but it weighs 223lbs! Didn't like the idea of all that extra weight up front. Anyway:

1. Arctic Unlimited, 4-door
2. Stock hardtop
3. 17/17 (came stock with matching 17's)
4. 59/59
5. Red Rubi shocks
6. My 4th digit is "B", (8th is "G")
7. 2012

Might not see any dip with a 93lb bumper (no winch) and the 17's. Could always go to 19 I suppose if necessary.

Are these the same size? I have a 2dr X and want to buy springs/ shocks off a JKUR but the front shocks both appear to be size 52, the JKUR's is the blue tags.
