yes and no. I believe the BLD works in 4-low, as to where the traction control as a whole does not (even with the esp button pressed). I'm unsure if the BLD gets disabled if you manually disable the esp however. So if you are trying to go through the mud in 4-hi and you lose power..traction control is cutting it, not the BLD.

The BLD does not get disabled when you disable the ESP.
Disabling the ESP (with the steering wheel dance) differs from turning ESP off only in that it will no longer default "on" when you restart your JK.

BLD also works with the trak Lok LSD.. ive driven both in heavy snow at least.. I like the LSD for sure over an open.. but with the BLD it would not be a deal breaker..

for serious mudding or crawling you are going to want full lockers.. for light wheeling your jeep will be capable right out of the lot....

My '10 JK Sport is my first Jeep. I have a buddy with an '09 X. No LSD's, only BLD's. They flat amaze us.
