Default Loc Tite Question

When changing bumpers, tire carriers, etc. would it matter which LocTite is used on the bolts?
I used the blue when I did mine but was curious if it was a right choice.

blue is medium thread locker.

The blue is used for applications where you may want to remove the bolt in the future with some hard work.

The Red is for applications where it is life or death if the bolt comes off...but you may never be able to get it off without a TON of work!!

Stay with blue.

OK Thanks.
Could the blue be used if installing spacers or is Red recommended?

Caution note: Do not use Locktite (any color) near plastic parts as it will eat it. Use it sparingly if you do.

Spidertrax comes with red to avoid lawsuits. I personally suggest the use of blue.

Like stated before red is meant to be permanent.

No, it comes with red Permatex thread locker, which is medium strength, which is equivalent to Loc-tite blue.

There was a 4-5 page thread on this which ended up with an email to Spidertrax.

Why would you use Loctite on Nyloc nuts? Those nuts are designed to stay in place. In fact, I don't use Loctite at all unless the instructions specifically call for it. Most things I take apart on my Jeep from stock show no evidence of ever having Loctite applied.

Because I wanted to make sure that damn trackbar bolt never comes off again. Also a lot of the stock Jeep does have threadlocker applied. If you buy a new OEM bolt you can see the "glue" on some of the bolts.

But is there any worry about the Nylock being affected?
