X2!!!!!!

I went from 14mpg down to barely breaking 11mpg. Originally it was before the extreme cold temps came and I learned more about how inefficient winter blend fuel is. Add in the cold and the need to run the heater full blast....there you go!

Of course you can take the doors off a honda! check out my old escort! I got great gas mileage out of this baddie when I lost all that extra weight!

I see my gas mileage go up when I drive my Jeep with the doors/top off....

Post Mandates

The ethanol-blend-currently supposed to be no more than 10%-is a big killer of mpg.you can lose 3mpg just on that, much less the "winter" blend. Higher concentrations of ethanol reduce performance & mpg even more. The actual blend of ethanol is higher than 10%;people who are tasked with verifying the actual concentrations tell me !0% is at the low end,as high as 20% is seen. Why? Because the Big Ag interests get a 45-cent per gallon subsidy on this "food as fuel" mandate. It will be interesting to see if the higher mpg fleet averages will be on this bogus mix or "real" gasoline,as seen on the window stickers
