Default Low oil level? Check out my dipstick

so after reading some threads about oil consumption on the 3.8 i thought i would check the JKs oil for the first time. It has 38764 on it now so we have put just at 1000 miles on it. Well here is my dip stick. No matter how many different ways i try not to get oil on the side of the stick i always do. It has been sitting for a solid day now and this is what i am showing on the stick. If i am reading this thing correctly it is hella low. But it also gets oil all the way up on the bend I am thinking that’s coming from the walls of the tube. But after a day I would also think that any oil in that tube would have ran back down by now. any advice would be helpful.

thanks.

Looks to be about 1.4 quarts low from the high safe mark.

Usually dipsticks are setup to be 1 quart from the lower and upper safe zone.

I would not worry about any engine damage, just add until full.
